Pacific women's soccer released its schedule of spring games today with four matches to help the team prep for the upcoming 2019 season.
The Tigers will host four opponents in a game each week from March 24 to April 12. The team will host three teams from lower Divisions of the NCAA as well as local rival Sacramento State. The set of exhibitions will help the Tigers begin to get looks at players and potentially test out new tactics in a competitive atmosphere.
The spring schedule opens on Sunday, March 24 when the Tigers host Division II side Cal State East Bay which posted a 7-8-3 record in 2018. That game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
On Friday, March 29, the Tigers host Sacramento State in a 7 p.m. match. Last season, Pacific defeated Sacramento State 3-1 with goals from Beth Burgess, Katie Martinez and Kendall Bietsch. The Hornets went on to finish the season 3-13-2.
A week later on Friday, April 5, Pacific hosts another Division II side in Chico State. The Wildcats put together a solid 10-2-6 season in 2018 on their way to an NCAA Tournament berth. That game is set for a 7 p.m. start at Knoles Field.
The Tigers close the spring against Stanislaus State on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. The Warriors went 8-7-3 in 2018.
All matches this spring take place and Knoles Field and admission is free to all soccer contests at Knoles Field.
