Last Time Out:

  • UOP traveled down to East bay in their midweek game Wednesday night against Cal. The Tigers would be handed a 5-1 loss to the Golden Bears.

  • Pacific had a productive first inning to pull ahead of Cal as a walk by Hailey Reed and hit by pitch Madison Kahwaty put runners on first and second with two outs. Bradi Kooyman hit an RBI-single down the middle that would deliver the Orange and Black's first run as they took an early 1-0 lead.

  • During the bottom half, Pacific found themselves behind as Cal capitalized on four errors to take 4-1, and lead for the rest of the game.

  • Junior pitcher Hailey Reed continues to be the Tigers' go-to ace. The Topeka, Kansas native still maintains the lead in the Orange and Black's pitching rotation this year ranking in the top 100 in the nation with a total strikeouts (91) and strikeouts per seven innings (7.86).

  • Reed has struck out a batter in each of her 15 appearances this season. She set a career-high in K totals (13) twice this season against Utah State (Feb. 9th) and Fairleigh Dickinson (March 9th).

  • The right hander also leads the Tigers in wins (6), ERA (2.16), and innings pitched (81.0).

  • The Orange and Black freshman are on fire so far this season as Madison Kahwaty, Carly Lucchetti, Jessica Mabrey, and Myka Sutherlin have all started at least 29 games for Head Coach Brian Kolze and his crew.

  • Kahwaty has delivered consistently at the plate in her first season at Pacific as she currently leads the team with a .300 batting clip and ranks second in hits (24) and doubles (7).

  • Jessica Mabrey has proven to be a steady hand for the Tigers, racking up a team-high 18 RBI's and follows close behind Kahwaty in the hits section (23). Also, Carly Lucchetti leads the team with 18 runs scored.

  • Vs. San Diego (15-18)

    • The Toreros last played at the Bulldog Classic where they picked up one win and took three losses against CSU Bakersfield and Fresno State.

    • Senior Taylor Spence has been on a tear offensively hitting a .364 batting average with 36 hits, 26 runs, and 14 walks. Sara Silveyra also leads the Toreros with 20+ RBI's for the season.

    • The right-handed ace Madison Earnshaw holds a 5-8 record with a 4.25 ERA and team-high 71 strikeouts.
