2017 - Redshirt season
Appearing in 14 matches in her second season at Pacific, Lauren notched 45 total kills in 40 sets total for the year. She contributed eight kills in 13 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .538 in Pacific's loss at Pepperdine on September 29 and followed it up with a season-high nine kills in the Tigers' 3-2 win versus Loyola Marymount on October 1.
Playing her first season in the Orange and Black, Lauren saw action in seven matches while starting two. She made her collegiate debut on Sept. 5 against Dartmouth during which she came up with a pair of kills and one block in Pacific's victory. She would pick up her first start at Portland on Sept. 26 where she produced a season-best three blocks. In total, Lauren finished her first season with five kills, six blocks, and two digs in 14 sets.
A four-year letter winner for the Mustangs at Stockdale High School, Cline took over a starting spot as a sophomore and never looked back. Steadily increasing her output throughout her career, Cline averaged 4.6 kills on .423 hitting as a senior as she lead her team to its first-ever Southwest Yosemite League title and the semifinals of the CIF Section Championships. For her efforts, she earned all-league and all-area honors before being named the League MVP. Additionally, she garnered all-state honors by the online publication, MaxPreps. As junior, Cline was named to the All-Area team after she led the Mustangs to the Section Semifinals. She finished the season second in the county with 170 blocks and averaged 3.4 kills per set and 53 aces. Outside of Stockdale's gym, Cline was a member of Club Jamba, coached by Tom Clarke, one of the top club programs in California. Off of the court, Lauren was a CSF and NHS members. She was once the FCA Vince President and an ASB Commissioner. She finished her high school career with a 4.0 GPA and was awarded the President's award of educational excellence as well as the Principal's award for academic achievement.
Lauren Cline is the daughter of Pamela and David Cline. She has three older siblings, Alison, Kristine, and Matthew. She is currently majoring in business.
