Pacific Falls To Saint Mary's, 5-0

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's beach volleyball team fell to Saint Mary's, 5-0, in its 2019 season opener on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers fall to 0-1 on the season, while the Gaels improve to 10-3.

Arguably the best matchup of the day was between the No. 3 flights. Senior Alex Holt, who finished last season with a 17-6 record as a member of the Tigers No. 3 pair, and freshman Jadyn Tubbs took on the Gaels Crash Parker and Sienna Young. In the first set, neither pair held larger than a two point lead and with the Tigers down 18-17, SMC went on a 4-3 run to pull out a narrow 22-20 win. Then in the deciding set, Holt and Tubbs held close to their opponent, but at 17-15, SMC went on a 4-1 run en route to a 21-16 win.
