2016-17 (Senior): 
In her final season, Cristina competed in all but two of Pacific's matches.  In singles she posted a 4-12 record with two of her wins coming at the No. 3 spot.  In the WCC, she went 1-7 winning a big match against BYU.  In doubles, her and her partner, Sela, went 3-7 at the No. 1 spot and 0-4 in the WCC. 

2015-16 (Junior):
Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz won two singles matches, both at number two singles, and went unfinished eight times. Posted a 9-6 record in doubles play including a 2-1 mark at first doubles and a 6-4 mark at second doubles. The lone non-freshman in action for Pacific the entire season, Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz played doubles matches with five different partners at times, going 5-2 with Katie Dyson, 2-1 with Viktoriya Dzyuba, 1-1 with Yumi Asami, 1-1 with Mayaan Sela and 0-1 with Sabrina Rodriguez. Won three WCC doubles matches with three different partners. Named West Coast Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention.

2014-15 (Sophomore): 
Cristina finnished her second year with a record of 11-13 in singles play and 12-9 in doubles play. Cristina played doubles at No. 2 and No.3 with partners Regina Suarez and Antonella Santeusanio.  

2013-14 (Freshman):
Cristina finished her first year as a Tiger with a record of 8-21, playing all the way from No. 2 to No. 6 singles for Pacific. She was 12-16, teaming mostly with Iveta Masarova. Cristina was 9-7 on the season with Masarova, starting out 6-2. She played at all three doubles spots. Cristina and Masarova earned All-West Coast Confernence Honorable Mention Doubles honors.

Cristina is the daughter of Pablo Saenz De Buruaga and Concepcion Ruiz. She has two brothers, Alejandro and Guillermo. Cristina is a business major at Pacific, but is currently undecided about her career plans. Cristina finished her High School in 2013. Her most memorable moments on the courts are her victory with her team in The National Championship of Spain and her single final in the tournament of "Young Promises" of the country. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, spending time with family and going out with friends.
