Tigers Show Success on Final Day of Battle in the Bay

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of the Pacific women's tennis team saw success on the final day of the Battle in the Bay Classic on Sunday.

In Case You Missed It:

  • Anneroos Nederstigt and her partner from USC finished runner-up in the doubles final. It was a tight match as it came down to a tiebreak to determine the match point. Nederstigt and partner came out on the short end, falling 8-7 (8-6 in the tiebreaker).
  • Jacquie Tan defeated teammate and fellow freshman Georgia Townsend in a head-to-head battle in the singles consolation final by a score of 7-5 and 6-1.

Coach Erwin's Comments:
"We had a solid finish to the event today. It was good to see our players improving with each match. Especially happy for Roos in her last Battle in the Bay. USF and the Cal Club do an incredible job taking care of all the players and coaches. Such a privilege for us to be invited to represent Pacific."
