Tigers Open 2019 Campaign at Darius Dixon Memorial Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. – Four Pacific women's track and field runners will officially open their 2019 indoor track and field campaign this weekend when they compete in the annual Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, hosted at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex. 

Jasmine Gonzales, Emma Winkler, and Saira Purhar are set to compete in their first of two events on the weekend Friday. All three will race in the 5,000 meter run at 2:50 p.m. PT. 

Saturday, Naomi Nunis will open competition for the Tigers as she one of 31 runners set to race in the 60-meter dash (8:20 a.m. PT). Gonzalez, Winkler, and Purhur will close out weekend action with the 3,000 meter run at 11:50 a.m. PT.

Pacific is one of 11 Institutions to have athletes competing in the two-day event. Other participating programs include event-host Liberty, Appalachian, UNC-Greensboro, East Carolina, North Carolina, Charlotte, Elon, N.C. Central, High Point, Western Carolina, and Campbell.
