2018-2019 (Graduate Senior): 
Barthels had arguably had her best year in the pool in her final season with UOP. The graduate senior posted career-highs of 23 goals, 23 steals, six field blocks, and a team-best shot percentage of .561. Barthels stayed consistent throughout the stretch of the year suiting up in 26 out of 27 matches for her team. The Sacramento, Calif. product tallied two career-high performances with four goals against UC Irvine (Feb. 22nd) earning her GCC Player of the Week and another against LMU (Apr. 6th). Her 23 steals on the season would be the second most of any position player on the team. Earned All Golden Coast Conference Tournament Team honors. In total, Barthels would score 23 of her career 35 goals during her last year in the pool. 

2017-2018 (Redshirt Senior):
Saw action in 22 of the Tigers' matches. Registered a career-high four steals in the opening match of the season against Hartwick (Jan. 27). Scored a season-high two goals in the GCC Championship Semifinal Round against Concordia (Apr. 27). Finished with three goals, eight assists, and 18 steals on the season. 

2016-2017 (Redshirt Junior):
A Golden Coast Conference All-Academic selection, Barthels played in all 30 games for the Tigers and scored three goals with one assist. Recorded eight steals on the year. Picked up her first goal of the season against No. 12 UC Davis (Feb. 18), with one steal. Added another goal against No. 16 San Jose State (Feb. 19) and picked up her third against No. 25 Cal Baptist (April 1).

2015-2016 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Played in 25 games for the Tigers with six goals and five assists. Scored her first career goal against No. 17 Hartwick (Jan. 31), and added goals against No. 5 California (Feb. 6), No. 8 UC Davis (Feb. 6), No. 10 UC Irvine (Feb. 7), Pomona-Pitzer (Mar. 19) and Azusa Pacific (Apr. 15). Scored her six goals on 25 shots. Tallied assists in five separate games. Drew three exclusions on opponents in the season. Added 11 steals defensively.

2014-2015 (Freshman):
Barthels redshirted the 2015 campaign.

High School:
Barthels attended Saint Francis High School in Sacramento. Earned captain honors her senior year. There she helped the Troubadours to four CIF Sac Joaquin Section 2nd place finishes. Led the team in goals scored her senior year with a total of 35. Also chipped in 15 assists and 25 steals, which ranked second on the team. 

Personal:
Brinnley is the daughter of Ricke and Jeanne Barthels. She has one younger sister, Jennalyn, who is currently the captain of the women's water polo team at Cal State University Northridge.
